From 9-1-14.
The Gerber wax worm food was made today as per instruction from 9-1-14 (pictures seen below). Bran was crushed using a mortar and pestle. The final product had a wet saw dust texture and actually smelled pretty good.
The entire diet was placed into the bottom of a large plastic container in a lawn like fashion and clipping of wax paper containing wax moth eggs from the moths incubating at 30C were sewn throughout it.
The container was incubated in the 35C incubator in Fisher lab. The progress of the wax worm eggs will continue to be periodically monitored.
